Frequently Asked Tournament and Tour Questions

We’ve compiled a list of frequently asked questions asked about the tournaments, travel and tours. If you don’t see an answer to your question, please contact us and we’d be happy to provide any necessary clarification.
General

Pricing includes airfare, hotel accommodations including breakfast, sightseeing, a professional soccer match and necessary transportation.

Lunch and Dinner are not included in the pricing. Within walking distance of the hotel is filled with a range of wonderful dining options and experiences to enjoy.

Families from 1 to 3 people will share one room. Families of 4 or more will have two rooms to share.

Sightseeing, museum entries or entertainment detailed in the itinerary are covered by the tour fees.

Shopping, food, amenities and entertainment not included in the itinerary are the responsibility of the player and player family or chaperones.

Parents, chaperones or family members touring with the players travel at a rate slightly lower than the players as their package does not include the entry fees for tournament play.

Additional chaperones or family members also receive a slight discount. See our pricing section for more details and a breakdown of costs for players and families.

We accept credit card and PayPal.

Installment payments options are available based on date reserved: 1 installment, 3 installments or 6 installments.

As tournament play is exclusively for select players and their chaperones, cancellations impact the entire team experience. Please contact Coach Ba to discuss a potential cancellation.

Due to the arrangements required and the select nature of tournament play, players and their guardians are accounted as part of the team and expected on the trip booked. No refunds or credits are provided for cancellations, for any reason. Payments made are non-refundable. Ba Soccer Academy is not responsible for expenses incurred by you in preparation for a canceled trip, such as airline tickets, loss of work and/or other costs associated with preparing for tournament experience travel. Planning for the Experience

For players: For travel days and activities we wear team uniforms.

For tournament: Game jersey/shorts

A player Ba Experience kit is included for the Ba Soccer Academy team including:

  • 2 Jerseys
  • 2 Shorts
  • 2 Training Jerseys
  • 1 Backpack
  • 1 Pair of Socks
  • 1 Hoodie
  • 1 Warmup Jacket

If you are on a different team, check with your team manger.

The weather can vary quite a bit, so make sure to pack for sunny days as well as the possibility of rain and cooler weather days.

Comfortable walking shoes and layers are recommended.

A hat and small back pack are great.

A uniform is required for all tournament play and is included as a complete players kit for Ba Soccer Academy team players.

If you are on a different team, check with your team manger.

Yes, there is laundry service at the location.

As we do laundry together on the trip, it’s a good idea to have a laundry bag and to mark all of your clothes with your last name or player number to avoid confusion.

Cash isn’t really necessary or the most secure, so a credit card is the recommended form of payment. Visa and Mastercard are widely accepted across the country.

Apple Pay is also a widely accepted option in most EU countries.

In comparison to USA, tipping isn’t typically expected in restaurants, taxis, and hotels, as the country’s hospitality sector includes service charges in its pricing.

For France there are two associated plug types, types C and E. Plug type C is the plug which has two round pins and plug type E is the plug which has two round pins and a hole for the socket’s male earthing pin.

France operates on a 230V supply voltage and 50Hz.

Bringing an international travel adapter is appropriate.

We provide private bus from airport to hotel as well as mini bus to tournament and train tickets to different cities. European bus and train travel is a very refined and enjoyable way to travel around the country.

Transportation for the Gothia Cup Tournament Experience features a Gothia Cup pass for local transportation all across the city, for a unique and fun local travel experience. Additional sightseeing transportation is provided by Ba Soccer Academy as needed.

VERY IMPORTANT!

As you’ll be traveling internationally, in Europe, you will need a passport for yourself and your child which is valid for at least 6 months after your return date.
